While I believe they understand the intentions of marriage, celebrities need to understand they have absolutely no possible chance to stay together when they’re in the height of their careers. There is literally too much temptation and too much attention from everything under the sun.
Celebrity marriage is like having your favorite meal (in my case prime rib) everyday without change. Now, I may prepare it differently but the honest truth is I’m gonna get sick of it because I know I can have a ribeye. It’s out there and all I need is the money to buy it. Sure, Katy Perry is hot and most people would love to be with her, but when you’re Russell Brand and other women of Katy’s caliber are throwing themselves at you daily, a weak moment will likely come. It’s just not the same for the average Joe. We have our own problems and where our temptations may hit a 6 on the scale from 1 to 10, the celebrity will hit a 600. Remember, celebrities are still human (sans maybe Tom Cruise).
Marriage is just something that should wait until after their career is on the downswing or they are looking to get out completely. It should never be used to gain headlines or for mutual publicity. That means you, Kim Kardashian. You’re in your 15th minute. Cherish it.
The celebrity divorce rate is above 80%. Seriously, what are you thinking getting tied down so young when so much is in front of you? When your agent tells you you’ve there is interest in you being cast for the Surreal Life or Celebrity Rehab, then you marry. Katy -stay single until your boobs sag to to belly button. Russell – play around until the gray outnumbers the black on your head.
So, predictions for trouble in La La Land for 2012:
- Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie
- Britney Spears and Jason Trawick
- LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian
- Michael Jordan and Yvette Prieto
- Kim Kardashian and the guy after Kris Humphries
Hopefully they’re all wrong but we’ll see. Anyone else have any predictions? Any relationship advice for celebrities?
