How Do I Get Rid Of A High Maintenance & Needy Friend
I have this friend, or should I say “had”. I’m trying to cut ties with her but she just won’t take no for an answer and getting agressive. It’s starting to freak me out.
The friendship started out ok, but gradually she wanted to see me everyday, she texts me all day long, and if I say I can’t see her because I’m busy she gets agro and starts getting nasty. She’ll then start hangin the guilt trip on me, saying “I thought our friendship meant more than that”. Etc
Everyday there is a new drama that she needs to discuss with me, to the point where I feel like I’m going insane.
If I don’t answer my phone, she’ll be at my door knocking for the next 10 minutes.
I told her yet again today that I'm breaking off the friendship, so now she's threatening to go and tell the neighbourhood a bunch of rumours about me. God, this is too childish for me, and I don't know how to get away from her.
What do I do ?

Let her talk. She'll only make a fool out of herself. No one is going to believe her and if they do, so what? The ones who care about you won't and they're all that matters anyway. As for the calls, change your number! If you don't want to do that, just because she calls doesn't mean you have to answer her. When she comes to your door. Don't answer it. What age are you? If you're young, have your parents or older sibling answer the door and tell her that her behavior isn't welcome and to stop it. Just ignore her and sooner or later she'll give up and move on to someone else. If you give her any attention at all in any form, be it good or bad, she will find that encouraging and continue. Good luck. She's stalker material for sure.
