Is it okay to not want to talk to your boyfriend on some days?

I have a long distance relationship with someone who has a constant need to be in touch: he calls/texts many times during the day to ask what I'm doing, what I'm eating,or sometimes just tell me he is thinking of me. While this may sound sweet & affectionate, I think it's too much. I have a high stress job & am very busy. I need some time off to do other things in my life: housework, read, chill out or pursue personal ineterests or maybe just not have to talk. We see each other 2x/month.
