"yes, I am probably nuts. 74 is still kind of too low for me but it’s better than 72. Me and our son are constantly cold. I think it's because we both spend lot of time outside and we are trying to be physically fit. There are many reasons why I like to have A/C higher.
I like to save energy, water, food and other resources we have, because I see people on other side of the world don't have this luxury.

"This is so ridiculous. Our house is a sweat box. We live in South Louisiana where the only other hotter place is hell. My husband keeps the thermostat on 74. The reason? To conserve energy and "learn" to get used to the heat.

I don't want to "learn" to get used to the heat. I live in America and have the luxury of air conditioning. I'm all about saving energy. But keeping the thermostat on 72 (which is where I'm comfortable) when it's 100 degrees outside isn't excessive. People ar...view more"
