To Move Or Not To Move

my wife calls me selfish, i have supported her in any and everything she has wanted to do throughout our marriage. i have always wanted to live in a warm weather state and she knew this when i married her but i always said we would only move by agreement cause i would never force her to move.
i want to live in an area that the temp does not go to -10 wind chill index, if i did not meet and fall in love with my wife 11 years ago i would have been out of here. i have stayed and enjoyed my marriage but now we are at a point that we are moving anyway to another suburb with better schooling for our kids and since we are moving anyway, i think that we should look at another state.

my wife says she has a great job but she comes home everyday complaining about getting out of there cause she hates it and the benefits would be the samein another state, the only change would be she would lose senority. as for my job my career requires me to work outside so you see why i hate this environment. also my job (which should not be affected by politics, is very controlled by politics) i think would be better in another state than illinois which is totally corrupt. both of our jobs travel well so moving to another state would not affect anything, as for family, we dont see them anyway, and if we even move to the new suburb we are now looking at we would see them even less, so that should not be a barrier to our moving out of state.
we go to florida every year and we all have a great time and everytime my wife says we should move south and gets me going until we get home and the illuision goes out of the window and i am again shoveling 10 inches of snow off the driveway and trying to jump start one of the cars again. in no way am i selfish i am bringing this up when we are moving anyway and i think we should look into every avenue. our children- the two youngest want to move to hot weather and the teenager would move to the moon if she thought it would get her away from her parents. all of our kids are also involved in sports and i think they would have a much better time practicing if they were in a climate that they would not be trapped in the house for six months of the year. i have not committed a crime,! i should not be trapped in prison for 6 months a year. the weather in the chicago area in the winter is unhealthy and does no good for moods or marriage (unless you want more kids) our family loves heat and i think that we should go. this is the best time because we are in transistion anyway.
