"firstly babe i love you....lol!
ok now down to business, granted you make enough money to buy one but why specifically a $1000 purse? i personally think it's a status symbol for woman. for instance two chicks pass each other in the mall: one has a plain old guess purse that does exactly what a purse is made for ie. carry money, makup, credit cards, keys, ect. and the other has a gucci purse. the chick with the gucci purse will look at the chick with the guess purse and think she's either poor, doesn't have class, or is chinzy.
am i right or am i right?!? all these dumb-ass hollywood celeb chicks make a point to carry around a $5000 or $10,000 purse just so a paparazzi can snap a picture of them looking all rich and classy! all it is imo is for one chick to out do another when they pass buy one another!
i would rather put that money towards retirement or a nice vacation overseas."

"ok...ok....but i asked you before and you said the purse was around $1800! now the one you want is ONLY $700....that's still a chunk of change!
our schedules dictate how and when we can go on vacation. especially me being in the military it's hard as hell and a pain in the ass sometimes to get/take a vacation. we...well you are going to the philippines this upcoming spring babes for a month so i think that will make up for the past.
yes i want to come b/c i need a vacation and a break myself! i always am busting my ass around the house, on the cars, and work 5 days a week. it will be nice to take a 3 week vacation for once...and also to see our future retirement country.
whatever i bought for my mustang or bmw in the past is my business i was my money we were NOT married at the time like you said babes we were dating. if you bought that gucci purse in the past BEFORE we got married what was i going to say besides "your crazy for spending that much on a purse." i wouldn't have any say-so b/c we were just dating at the time. lol....sat in your garage huh? i think you got your story wrong babes my black 1987 mustang was in MY garage in the house that ashton, jacob, and me were renting. then after my second cruise when i moved in with you and bought the reef blue 1993 mustang yes it sat in your garage for a while b/c a lifter in the engine broke so i had to pull the engine out (which i work on all my cars to save money) and get it fixed. after i got it fixed i drove it around. the main reason i didn't drive it so much is b/c it's too nice of a car to drive everywhere....plus gas mileage sucks.
oooh did i mention how much i PAID for my cars let me see: back in 2002 i bought my 1987 mustang for a mear $1200. the reef blue 1993 mustang i bought for $8000. and the 1997 bmw i bought for $7400. with all the spare parts i have acrewed over the years i sell on ebay and my mustang and bmw forums so for what i send on performance parts is not that much. it's almost like i'm trading one performance part for another.
and i am in the process of selling the 1987 mustang and the money left over i'm going to pay off my credit card, your credit card, and put the rest towards the house or the vacation.
don't act like you use all YOUR money on groceries, your hair, gas, and stuff babes! i look at my bank account ever day online and see you use my bank account to buy that stuff....but i don't say anything b/c it's OUR money and we need that stuff. ooooh and i saw the couple times you used my bank account for your pedicures....but i never once complained or #!@%*ed. seriously babes have i?
everyone reading this we are not rich and we are not poor we are a normal middle class hard working american family wo likes nice things!
p.s. all you punk ass fakes on here who say we should give money to the poor starving africa kids your just a bunch of hippocrates b/c i bet you buy yourself and your wives expensive #!@%*! let me go threw your closets and see your prada purses, loui vitton crap, diamond earrings, $2000 watches.....quit being fake ass hippocrates!

"I mentioned to my husband that I wanted to buy this one particular Gucci purse which is less than a thousand dollars.
He immediately told me that 'it's not practical to buy a purse for that much money' and it's just plain insane.
Firstly, I am not asking him to buy it for me-- I make enough money and more to afford one; secondly, I only want ONE Gucci purse--not a collection of ten of them because I think that's even too much.
He mentioned just buying a 'replica' because they are way cheaper--no WAY! To me , THAT would be a waste of my money to buy a replica and just plain chintzy!
I used to be high-maintenance before we were married, but I feel I eased out alot afterwards--and believe me: I lOve to shop!--and not for cheapy things! lol
So what does everyone think? :o/"

For those of you who have a reading problem, I mentioned wanting to buy a purse for UNDER A $1000. Even I wouldn't want to buy a purse for over that much.
Speaking of vacations, my husband has only taken me on "3" since we have been together: (a) Orlando-Universal/Seaworld, (b) Cozumel, Mexico for our honeymoon, and (c) Amelia Island for my birthday THIS year , and this is in a span of FIVE YEARS.
The overseas vacation we are planning was my idea--he wasn't planning on coming in the first place because ' it's too expensive' and 'we would need to save money'. lol But for some miraculous reason, he wants to come now. lol
I have NEVER told my husband how to spend or dictate what he does with money..even when we were dating because it's simply not my place to and he has bought some pricey things during our time together , i.e. a $3000 car engine for his mustang ( which by the way has SAT in my garage for almost 3 or 4 years cuz he was either on cruise or the car wasn't working ), and many ,MANY performance parts for his BMW, or new rims, tires, etc..and don't tell me these things can't be expensive. And did I mention he has TWO mustangs and ONE BMW?
I think it is to each his own how they think what or how spending money is: my husband may think it's ridiculous to spend less than a grand on a purse and I may think the same with him buying a $3000 car engine.
Everyone has their own view on spending money.
And for the record, I have never asked my husband to buy me anything cuz I know how he is with 'money'. I buy most of the groceries, our baby's formula, pampers, and toys..my gas, getting my hair done ( which is about every 4-5 months--which to me is too long ), pedicure--just anything that I may need.
He doesn't take me out to dinner..and when we got o the movies, he doesn't ask if I want popcorn or anything.
SoOoo I don't think I'm that bad. I chose my type career to be able to take care of myself ( and now our daughter ) and buy the things I need.
P.S. Thanks for all your comments everyone! --good, bad, or insulting--keep 'em coming!! :D "
