"I mentioned to my husband that I wanted to buy this one particular Gucci purse which is less than a thousand dollars.
He immediately told me that 'it's not practical to buy a purse for that much money' and it's just plain insane.
Firstly, I am not asking him to buy it for me-- I make enough money and more to afford one; secondly, I only want ONE Gucci purse--not a collection of ten of them because I think that's even too much.
He mentioned just buying a 'replica' because they are way cheaper--no WAY! To me , THAT would be a waste of my money to buy a replica and just plain chintzy!
I used to be high-maintenance before we were married, but I feel I eased out alot afterwards--and believe me: I lOve to shop!--and not for cheapy things! lol
So what does everyone think? :o/

"To comment on a few of your comments! lol
For those of you who have a reading problem, I mentioned wanting to buy a purse for UNDER A $1000. Even I wouldn't want to buy a purse for over that much.
Speaking of vacations, my husband has only taken me on "3" since we have been together: (a) Orlando-Universal/Seaworld, (b) Cozumel, Mexico for our honeymoon, and (c) Amelia Island for my birthday THIS year , and this is in a span of FIVE YEARS.
The overseas vacation we are planning was my idea--he wasn't planning on coming in the first place because ' it's too expensive' and 'we would need to save money'. lol But for some miraculous reason, he wants to come now. lol
I have NEVER told my husband how to spend or dictate what he does with money..even when we were dating because it's simply not my place to and he has bought some pricey things during our time together , i.e. a $3000 car engine for his mustang ( which by the way has SAT in my garage for almost 3 or 4 years cuz he was either on cruise or the car wasn't working ), and many ,MANY performance parts for his BMW, or new rims, tires, etc..and don't tell me these things can't be expensive. And did I mention he has TWO mustangs and ONE BMW?
I think it is to each his own how they think what or how spending money is: my husband may think it's ridiculous to spend less than a grand on a purse and I may think the same with him buying a $3000 car engine.
Everyone has their own view on spending money.
And for the record, I have never asked my husband to buy me anything cuz I know how he is with 'money'. I buy most of the groceries, our baby's formula, pampers, and toys..my gas, getting my hair done ( which is about every 4-5 months--which to me is too long ), pedicure--just anything that I may need.
He doesn't take me out to dinner..and when we got o the movies, he doesn't ask if I want popcorn or anything.
SoOoo I don't think I'm that bad. I chose my type career to be able to take care of myself ( and now our daughter ) and buy the things I need.
P.S. Thanks for all your comments everyone! --good, bad, or insulting--keep 'em coming!! :D ...view more"
