Jealous Much?

Before I met my boyfriend of over a year I used to attend Trivia night at a local bar with a friend named Justin. There was nothing between the two of us, just two people who love quiz nights and being competitive. Trivia night stopped for a while and it was finally due back. I made plans to go to trivia night with my boyfriend, a group of people (all genders) from work and Justin. My boyfriend was "pissed" because I was going out with a "good looking and successful guy". I tried to tell him it was not a date, there was nothing between the two of us, there was a whole group of people coming and HE was one of them. Does he have any reason to feel threatened?
