"EX EX Current Current"

"this is wierd so heres the breakdown.

She (my gf) was in love with a guy when she was 19/20 he was 20/21 and in the navy. Her parents got divorced after a long and bitter deal and she ended up having no where to live, no money, no support, no nothing but her brothers friend and her go way back and they started to "date." she was as low as a person can get in their life, he was in navy, shes white, hes black. he was gonna marry her but the courthouse was closed and all just so she could keep affording school.

Anyways, he goes to sea after a couple months and then just stops talking to her one day. months go by, nothing, she goes from relationship to relationship for the next 2 years without any closure or respect or trust of or for herself. she meets me, we met 1st year of college, and we started dating last couple months of 4th year and into summer and still now.

So, last 2-3 months i noticed she was withdrawing emotionally, getting iratinoally mad at me for things i couldnt know or werent related to me at all, etc...i suspect shes still in love with her ex, she tells me no, she wants to think about stuff yada yada and i try to respect that and help her as best i can. then the other day she admits (after meeting with ex) that she had been in love with him still and he wasnt in love with her, just wanted to be freinds like they were prior crisis dating, and i knew it all along...so i wonder what peoples take is on this short and unfair synapsis of my situation, bc we really do love each other and ive never met anyone who compliments me more...shes had a harrrd life in terms of family, relationships, sexuality, money, etc....i know we can work, but i wonder what it means that she secretly did want her ex back just wouldnt ever admit it to me even when i already knew...she says shes deleted him from myspace, phone#, fb, etc and cant have him in her life anymore bc its too unfair for her emotionally.

so she figures it out and ive basically been the emotional and literal whipping boy carrying 3 relationships around at once and i suppose i wonder if that kind of (intentional or not) infidelity is that big of an issue, especially since i endured so much pain for it all...now were kinda on a break bc she thinks its too stressful for us to be together (LDR like an hour and half) and she has a deadend, stressfull job at a hospital and im in my last semester of college....is she ready for a real relationship? real as in...seriously, hopefully the last one for either of us?...view more"
