Inquisitive Or Investigative?

My husband thinks I try to investigate him when I ask questions. He feels if I ask him about the same topic more than once that I am attempting to "entrap" him in some lie. We've definitely have issues of trust but I feel like I should be able to ask questions until I get a clear answer. For example, if I ask, "Where are you?" His response might be, "On my way home." Well that's not my question...but if I ask "Where is that?" then I'm investigating him.
