I have been liveing with friends for three years,now i want to get my own place and they are mad,

i moved to another state to be with my friends,i have been liveing with them for three years,and now think it is time for me to get my own place, they are mad and say that our friendship will be over,that i just used them.what should i do and how should i handle this.They have been good friends for a long time and i hate the thought of not haveing them in my life any more.
