How to handle Functional drunk?

He is 35 and I have tell him every night to stop drinking alcohol and smoking Cigar (3) a day because it is effecting our time in bed together. Last night he told me he is functional drunk and I am not his mom. He has a job and I don't, so I have no right to say any thing. I am only social drinker. What should I do?
