Do I have the right to have my own 2 horses without sharing them with my husband?

I am 13 years older than my husband. I am retired, he is not. He has many hobbies that require time and money. I have one: my 2 horses. Horses are an adjunct hobby to his hunting and fishing. He cannot accept that my horses are mine and that he cannot use them unless I am with him. We have been fighting over this for 16 years. I feel pressured to either let him use them or else provide him with 2 of his own horses and take total responsibility for them because he doesn't have time. It is too much for me; I don't have the energy to ride 4 horses! This dispute is ruining my joy. Thanks for an objective opinion.
