How do I push my 17 yr old son to get a job?

I admit it, I have spoiled my son a little, but now I want him to go out and get a job. He has tried a few places but to no avail. I think he's frustrated because I made sure everything always came easy for him, but now I want him to do this on his own. He spends alot of time in his room playing on-line games and doesn't feel like doing anything. I don't want to push him too hard, because I'm afraid he will shut me out. He's a good boy, I can't complain. He gets good grades and has good friends and helps me around the house alot. I'm just curious as to how to get him out in the workforce without pissing him off. ty
