my b friend of 7 years always makes it a point to start an argument everyday why is this

7 years to gether and no matter what i say or do is wrong he walked out a few weeks ago but came back a month later his mom called me and asked if i saw him i said yes he just left his mom loves me she was so happy we were back i told him i talked to mom and she asked about us he started screaming at me telling me that he wanted to tell her in his ouw time and that why didnt i ask him first he called me bad names and to;d me not to call hes walked out many times before by the way he moved out on me to live with mom did i say the wrong thing to mom
