my friend dosen't think i should be feeding my dog cat food!!!

What does it matter that i feed my dog cat food when he has a clean bill of health every year from the vet ??? He is 15yrs old......I think she is just being pushy n toooo much in my business....What do u think????? Help!!!!!!
