What is with facebook what's the big deal about it

My boyfriend is on facebook at leat 4 to 5 times a day he flirts with girls on their for example he said to a girl on their hey good looking how are you I questioned him about it he said he does that just so people can talk to him but I find that so immature if you are in a relationship
