My husband of 32 years lies whever it suits him I have confronted him regarding this and totally denies lying

I find this a strain on our marriage, I do not trust him anymore, he is not having an affair, but lives in denial. His mantra to me is " I have never done or said anything deliberatley to ever hurt or upset you" I don't now how to solve this anymore. Help
