Should I ask him to Marry me? or walk away?

I have been with this wonderful guy for over six years. He is a blast to be with. He treats me good and our family gets along great. The problem is I am tired of waiting for him to pop the big question, We have talked about it numerous time. Hes concern is that he not where he wants to be career wise and wants to make more money.
