Serious epidemic or Media Scare Tactics

...Swine Flu (H1N1) kills far less than anything else listed on the infographic over a period of 300 days. Despite that, it fills our news, scares the population and there is mass immunization in progress in many countries in the world.
Where do you stand regarding this? Do you believe that viral armageddon is upon us and those who will not be immunized will die or do you think that this has been overhyped and that people should not get the shot because it's just like any other flu and that the body's defense system should do what it's there for?
