denied based on ifs and maybes

Ok so jack has down syndrome and statistically he may develop other medical issues in the future compared to a "normal" child .... it is only a prediction that MAY be incorrect as no one knows the future medical condition of any child it is just a fact that a child without down syndrome has LESS chance but no one really knows.. some normal kids develop medical issues all the time....I ask should my son be denied a heart based on the fact that he MAY have other issues in the future.....?
