Do I have a right to know how many other girls he's been with?
I've been with my boyfriend for a while now. Things have progressed pretty quickly; he's talked about getting married even. However, whenever I bring up "his past," he gets ticked off right away, and tells me, "It doesn't matter. I'm with you now." It's not only about his sexual past; I have no idea how many girlfriends he's had, either.
He'll give me conflicting information, sometimes telling me (I take it as a joke) that he was a virgin, but at other times he'll give me something that would suggest he's been with several other women before. In the end, I just give up.
Anyway, do you think I, as his girlfriend, have a right to know how many girls he's slept with before me? I'm not looking for details. But I think a number would be nice. I tell him it's not a big deal, it's not going to change how I feel about him, but then he just says, "If it's not a big deal, why do you need to know?"
