My boyfriend is jealous of my friendship with my ex-husband

I met my ex-husband in 1995 and we divorced amicably in 2005. Having spent such a large part of our adult lives together and shared so many of life's experiences, we remained friends after the divorce and still chat on the telephone three-four times a year. When I visit my hometown once a year, we usually will get together for lunch or dinner one day. This summer I met and fell in love with a wonderful man. Our only problem is that he feels it's disrespectful to him for me to remain friends with my ex. After a few drinks, he'll even accuse me of wanting to get back together with my ex. While I do not have any romantic feelings for my ex, I would hate to lose the friendship. Am I wrong?
