My first attempt at poetry, let me know what you think?

~Never Forgotten, Forever Loved~
The memory of him who's long been gone
Life cut short by his mistress the sea
Will foerever be remembered
Through the bride of a sailor
Now widowed and weathered and weeping is she
With a tear in her eye and a vow in her heart
Never forgotten and forever loved are thee
