I'm getting my eyes laser zapped on fri, any advice????

I've always been shortsighted =((very) and used to wear contacts. After having kids I've found that my eyes are dry and can't wear contacts comfortably. SO I'm going for laser cprrection - any advice about aftermath would be appreciated....how sore will it be etc (i'm having lasek where they scrape you eye epithelial away rather then lasik where they cut a flap. I have strong stomach.....
