Am i wrong to not want my boyfriend to take a cruise ship job and leave me behind?

We've been dating for a year and a half friends for 6 years previous. Since our relationship started we've hit a few snags but all in all we're still in love in the end..
He hates his job that we moved to this city for and has recently applied for a cruise ship job which looks like he's going to get.. And there seems to be no worries about leaving me in a city I hate. He doesn't see it as leaving me behind... but I do...
