How can I get my boyfriend to understand he is verbally abusive when he drinks when he doesn't remember?
My boyfriend is spot-on as far as boyfriends go, that is, until he drinks. When he starts drinking, he's actually sweeter than he is normally but if he has too much, a switch turns on in him and he becomes a true a$$hole with me.
He never hit me; that I just wouldn't put up with. But he will begin yelling at me, screaming about nothing, and just tearing down the things he finds fault in me with (which are tiny things but still hurt).
I thought about recording him so he knows how he sounds or just getting someone else to tell him since a lot of times these episodes are public. Would that be going too far? Do you think things may eventually get worse with continued drinking?
