Should my husband give up more of his money?

My husband makes a good wage but only contributes to the household 36% of his check. I feel I shouldn't have to work and that he should be willing to support me and our two girls. I am always stressed out because of bills to pay and he has stashed away thousands of dollars that I can't touch. I'm not against working and I do work part-time to be able to buy the kids of myself stuff and to pay my credit card but it's seems very unloving for him to hide away his money when I'm stressed out just to pay the bills.
