Why won't he help me when I'm sick/injured?

I've been hospitalized with a suspected dissecting aorta due to blood pressure off the charts; had a broken arm, broken toe, and now tendonitis in my dominant arm. He has not lifted a finger to help me with our or my chores. He tells me how committed he is by not going skiing and instead giving me a ride to the hospital when I thought I was having a heart attack. OK, I know the answer. He feels his own pain, not mine or anyone else's. Psychopath, right?
