Side 1 says... Help me!! I offer to get the laundry out of the dryer before we head off to bed. I go down to the cellar to fill the laundry basket out of the dryer, then trudge back up 2 flights of stairs to the bedroom to be folded.I dump the laundry on to the bed and my girlfriend digs in......a look comes across her face....and she says "some of the clothes are a little damp. Now I reach in and maybe 3 things (jeans) are damp..no big deal, hang them to dry. But nope, not good enough......I load the laundry basket and trudge down 2 flights of stairs to put the clothes back in the dryer. Why can't they be hung?? And I'm sure she will say there were alot of them...there wasn't. Please help...............

Side 2 says... Okay, first of all this is an ongoing issue. Our dryer is older and usually requires that you restart it for an extra 20-30 minutes before your clothes are actually dry. I constantly remind him of this!
So he brings a load of laundry upstairs, I start folding it, yep it's damp. At first it was just a pair of jeans, ok hang those up to dry. Then a pair of sweatpants, threw them over the back of a chair. Then 2 shirts, I start getting a little frustrated. Damp socks...a towel...I give him a look as I start hanging clothes on every available surface of our bedroom.
He gets angry, starts grabbing everything and takes the laundry basket back downstairs to put back in the dryer.
He KNOWS that the dryer needs to be re-started after the cycle. We go through this over and over again. I appreciate his help with the laundry, I really do. But it isn't a help if I have to hang damp clothes all over the place and wait another day for them to air-dry.
Am I unreasonable? I don't think so. Damp clothes get musty. All he needs to do is re-start the dryer for a little longer, and I'll be happy.
