Side 1 says... I have 2 great little boys who I feel are being corrupted by the things my husband is letting them watch on TV or rents at RedBox.

I've had to get a job since my husband lost his. My kids get back from school and before I get home from work he is basically letting them watch movies filled with violence and even some sex. They told me he said don't tell your mom.

He says it's ok and they get that and more in school. he also does it to babysit them while he searches for jobs.

I don't think it's right for children so young to see this type of violence. It's wrong. If I were home I wouldn't let them. Now they are becoming defiant of me and running to their dad when I reprimand them. It's because of his leniency that they do this and I think it's wrong. It's turning them into monsters without empathy (as bad as that sounds).

Side 2 says... Again another woman blowing things out of proportion. First I don't always let them watch it. Second they DO get this in school anyway. Our 11 year old told me his homeroom teacher has movies on every morning before channel 1 news comes on. Latest movie is Abduction because the kid from the twilight movies is in it. I think the teacher just wants to watch these movies (she's about 24). Regardless I think the kids need to see the world for what it is. Far too many kids are led to believe the world is some foo foo place made of sunshine and rainbows.

Besides, I don't see the difference in movies vs video games which apparently there is a difference in my wife's eyes. She bought them Modern Warfare 3 and Assassin's Creed: Revelations this Christmas.

You might not agree with my logic on letting my kids watch movies but I think she's a little conflicted with buying violent video games like it's OK while ridiculing me about violent movies in the same breath.
