The "To Me" Argument!

Side 1 says...
My wife and I were just driving to the grocery store when we sparked up a conversation on looks. She wanted to know if she was still pretty. I said that of course she was to me. She caught the last 2 words of this and asked what that means. Here's the conversation pretty much in verbatim.
Wife: "What did you say?"
Me: "I said that you're still pretty."
Wife: "After that."
Me: "Umm, you were the one who started talking after that."
Wife: "You said TO ME. What's that mean?"
Me (during my oh shit moment): "What do you mean what's that mean?"
Wife: "To me. Are you saying I'm only pretty to you and nobody else?"
Me: "I'm not saying that at all. I'm just talking about myself which is what you asked. You asked me if I you were still pretty and I said that you were."
Wife: "But to me means you would be the only one to think I was pretty. So are you saying I'm not pretty to everyone else?"
Me: "Did I say that?"
Wife: "YES!"
Me: "When?"
Wife: "When you said to me!"
I tried to keep the conversation going but she pretty much locked up and didn't talk to me while we were food shopping. I egged it on by playing dumb but only because it's such a dumb argument. Of course I think she's pretty. She might not be as hot as she was when I married her but she's still pretty and will always be pretty to me. Nobody stays hot forever. I don't expect to turn other women's heads when I walk down the street anymore.
It's a dumb argument and she's still barely talking about it. I hope she decides to tel her reasons because I think you'll get a kick out of her. She's one of those. LOL.

You answered my question in the last paragraph after you wasted these people's time writing down our talk in the car. You said I'm not as hot as I was. That's what the TO ME was. Why did you backpeddle in the car and play dumb? Why weren'tt you just man enough to tell me that's what you meant? You can try and make fun of me all you want here but the fact is I just wanted an honest opinion and I thought of anyone, my husband would give it to me.
They can laugh at me but you shouldn't. I may not be as "hot" as I was but I am the only outlet for sex you have so I may be the one laughing when you're trying for that.
