Should my friend's husband have given me a birthday "spanking" on the butt?

We had some friends over to our house for my birthday. When they were leaving, we all hugged each other (as we always do) and then my friend's husband said I should get a birthday spanking and he gave me two slaps on the butt. Both my husband and I thought It seemed inappropriate and we both felt uncomfortable. His wife did not see this happen. She is my best friend. Do I say something to this man or does my husband? Do we say something to his wife?
