Pawning my wifes engagemen ring to make ends meet?? It hurts, but it seems to be the only way.

I recently lost my job. I've been unemployed now for over 4 months. The only way I can pay the bills, ie, car, house, ect.. is to temporarily pawn my wifes engagement ring. I don't what to do this either, but I feel it is the only way. It hurts me to hurt my wife!! I don't want to do this, but in order to keep the house, car ect... it seems it is the only way. I have barrowed money and have exhaused everything
