Why do some men have to pick their teeth after every meal!

My husband picks his teeth with one of those plastic floss toothpicks after every meal. He goes on for at least 20 minutes. I find it totally annoying to go on that long. He embarrases me when we're out and when I see that toothpick coming out I wanna run. A few seconds maybe ok at home, but when you're out or have people over for dinner, I wanna say Stop Picking! It's even worse when his brother and him both go at it, altho it doesn't bother his wife. Must be me!
