Is it wrong to want marriage after a 6.5 year committed/monogamous relationship?

I have been living with my bf for 6.5 years. our relationship is fairly fine. I don't know if this is normal or not, but it is also uneven. I like/want him more than he likes/wants me. Although we've been in a committed, monogamous relationship for 6.5 years. For the last 2 years I've been trying to talk to him about marriage. At first he would say, I'm too young, i'll be ready for kids in a year or so. Then when the year would pass, he'd act like he never said it, and say next year we'll get engaged. and then another year would pass and nothing. I am now 25 and he will be 30 in 6months. I desperately want to marry this guy, but he doesn't want to marry me. I try to please him in every way possible. yet it feels like its nver enough. yesterday he said he doesn't want to get married because he doesn't know what he wants to do with his life, and that he's not sure if he wants to marry me!! why wouldn't he know? tonight I told him that I will give him until the end of the year to make a decision and then I will leave. I told him I would not spend any holidays with him, and would go to visit my family instead. then he broke up with me. We are still in the same house but now I'm even more confused. Can some one please help me!!! Am I wrong for wanting a family and life with this guy? And is he wrong for stringing me along? What would u do?
