Lonely Girlfriend Seeks Advice How to Get Her Man's Interest Back!

I've been seeing my boyfriend now for about 2.5 years, and things have changed drastically. When we met he was interested in spending quality time with me constantly which I know is normal for a new relationship and is normal for that to die down. However, when we moved in with each other six months later he pretty much immediately got involved in several other side jobs outside of his normal work job. This takes him away for late nights in the evening working off duty as a police officer and sometimes several weekends in a row with other law enforcement jobs. He says it is merely him trying to pursue his ambition and be successful for our future family, but calculated out we spend .05% of time together in a normal week. Is this normal and how can I make him understand how lonely I am?
