Is long hair sexier than short?

I have long hair that falls to my shoulder blades. I would really like to get it cut about chin length but my husband is firm that he wants me to have long hair because it is sexy. I just end up wearing it pulled back because I think it is more professional for work. I think it would be alot easier to wear it short. Do men really find short hair unsexy?
