can a player change?

i met this guy in europe last year wen i was on a contiki tour he wanted me the whole time but i ignored it coz i had a bf,
im now single and he is coming over from sydney and we have been talking on the phone and texting a bit,
its been a year since iv seen him and he now has a very high powered job in a bank , and wants to move back to perth where his family and i live. but he has a reputation as a bit of a player and i know wen we were in europe he fooled around with several girls. but he assures me he has changed.

he's 24 and a really nice guy and i can see a future, but can a player change?
