why is it they say one thing and do another,is that fair to thier other?

the guy i am talkign about is 24 and then my ex is still a big part in my life he was there while i was pregnat my current boyfriend said he didnt care if i still had some contact with him but now he is acting distant.I quit talking to my ex to see if that would change things and it doesnt seem like it has. i am 19 and have a 1 year old son please help me
