Belle's first ever nappy rash & it won't go away...what can I do to make her more comfortable?

My 15 month old daughter has her first ever nappy rash...I am blaming an eruption of 6 teeth all at one time...poor little bugger! It is just a red rash with a few raised red lumps & is concentrated around her little bottom hole. I am slathering her little bot bot with a soothing barrier cream at every nappy change & am changing her nappy approximately every hour. She also has about an hour to 2 hours of "pants off" time in the sunshine each evening (Australian summer time...).

Is there anything else I can do for her or do we just have to wait it out?
