Is he trying to make me jealous?

Ok, so iv been talking to this guy for a few months now, we've been getting on really well and plan to go out next week (only reason we've yet to go out is because we're both really busy with work and don't live near each other).

Anyways he's told me he likes me and can't wait to go out and flirts with me constantly, but over past few days i feel like either hes trying to make me jealous...or hes trying to put me off. He's been coming off with stuff like - "if she wasn't with her fella i'd have her in a heartbeat, shes mad for me" or telling me hes away to have his wicked way with his friend with benefits. Which doesn't really bother me because we aren't together.

lol I don't even know if this makes sense, but im really confused and any thoughts would be appreciated. Soooo...trying to make me jealous, put me off him or neither??

Oh should prob mention that he still flirts like crazy and was doing so right before he said these things.
