Is it possible to change a guy?

Dating a guy would is well off because of his parents but currently doesnt work, still lives at home, and does pretty much whatever he wants. I like him a lot, but wished he'd do more for himself. He's not lazy and wants a lot for himself. I am just not sure at who's cost. What should I do? He is a great person and I do not want to give up on him.
