Is he for Real?? Dating this guy for 3 months, he swept me off my feet

The first 3 months were unbelievable, I then went on a business trip and when I returned, he seems distant, we were used to being together 24/7, now it has dwindled, he continues to call me everyday, but I don't see him making any effort to see me. We never had a discussion as to where we are in our relationship, do I ask him straight out? Or should I take his actions as my answer and just move on???
