Should i call her on her birthday?

We like each other, probably love, donno.She can't commit because of some caste difference. I am fine with that so i gradually stop talking, keeping it simple .
Then she gets annoyed saying you have changed and all.She doesn't like if i don't text her regularly.And when i pop the commitment question she fights saying you never understand me blah blah. its been a day we fought.And her birthday is around, so should i wish her or not?Not exactly my girl but i still like her.Please help me out. please!!!
