My wife doesn't want to have sex after childbirth?

After my wife gave birth to our first son, she keeps giving me excuses whenever I want to get intimate. I don't understand what is wrong. I tried talking to her, and she keeps denying that there is a problem. It's been 6 months since we last "got together". I don't know if she has lost interest, or is embarrassed at the way she looks down below. I told her I don't care if it has changed shape because at the end of the day I love her, and I want to be intimate with her. Any suggestions?
