How can i get a guy's attention w/o being slutty?

The first thing guys look at besides a girls face is their body(of course) but i want to attract a guy with my personality. now i always do this but i don't understand why guys always aim for one thing and one thing only.sex. i know a lot of you will say it's because they are immature and to go for the ones that act right and got everything sorted out but whenever i am interested in these types of guys they always say they don't want a serious relationship. im trying so hard to get this one guys' attention for once but i wanna try it in a respect lady type way as always. any advice. btw im 16.
