Will a male of your race still find you classy and respectful after dating a different race?

As a white female in the south I have been talked to about dating outside my race and then not being accepted by a respectable male by my race. Does anyone find this true or maybe just true to the south? Please give ur opinion. Should one feel like they need to hide a different race relationship from
a new same race relationship?
