Is "Breakfast at Tiffany's" a good book? Also, can anyone summarize it for me?

I need a classic book for class to read and do an essay on. I'm not much of a fan of classics...but I have to read one. If you guys know any other books that are easy to read and to understand please tell! :) Also, answer the original question I guess, is this is a good book? And I have no idea what it's about so a summary would be very helpful! Thanks!
