Do you think my boyfriend would care if I was upset or mad?

Well I was drunk one night and i started crying and all he said was "why you crying"? and i can't rememeber what i said to him after that. Then there was another time where he thought i was crying and I wasent and he asked "why you crying"? I told him i wasen't. Everytime he thinks im mad he will say "why you look mad" or you sound mad and then i'll say im not mad and he will say you better not be. So does this mean he will care if one day I really am upset or mad?
