Is something purchased with reward points at work property of the company, or the person who earned points?

We have a coffee machine at work which was purchased using reward points from a supplier. The program was set to expire so we decided as a group to get the coffee machine. It is worth about $1000 according to retail stores.

The person who had been collecting the points made friends with the delivery person and he would give her reward tags which other companies would not use. This allowed us to get a large number of points collected over the years.

Now the person is leaving the company, and she wants to take the coffee machine with her, unless we pay her $400 for it. Does this machine belong to the company, or does it belong to her since she was collecting reward points, and "extra" points from the delivery person? She is leaving next week and we don't know what to do! We need coffee!
